Success Stories: Ben

Ben L intern Picture

First arriving at RFA in 2012 as part of his Branford High School curriculum, Ben initially expressed that he had “No idea” what his career goals were.  In the weeks and months ahead, Ben demonstrated an uncanny ability to tackle any task on the farm, especially when it comes to serving customers and working on his feet. After gaining his initial work experience and increasing his self-confidence onsite, he interned as an Assistant Teacher at the Guilford Art Center’s Summer Program for three consecutive summers and later as an intern at Consign and Design Shoreline in Branford.  In addition, Ben is also a part-time student at Gateway.  Recently, Ben successfully obtained paid employment at a popular restaurant chain; he can’t wait to get started!
